The Twelve Traveler’s project is 100% funded through grants or private donations. Your donation will be tax deductible and will help see these projects to fruition. The Board of the non-profit Twelve Travelers Group as well as the Artists John and Ethan Houser want to provide El Paso with public art that has historical significance and will educate the current public and generations to come about those who shaped the region in which we live, love, and wish to continue to build. Your donations will ultimately help the artistic growth of downtown El Paso.

Introduction to The XII Travelers Memorial of the SouthWest

The XII Travelers Memorial of the Southwest was initiated in 1992 as a downtown revitalization project for the City of El Paso, Texas to enhance economic development, the tax base, tourism and the quality of life. The memorial is a regional sculpture walk through history that honors the men and women and cultural diversity that contributed to the historical development of the city and region. It will consist of twelve separate over life-size, bronze monuments (sculpture groupings) that dramatically celebrate the history of El Paso and the American Southwest.
